The 112th U.S. Open was conducted by the U.S.G.A. on the Lake Course at The Olympic Club in San Francisco 14-17 June. The tournament was won by Webb Simpson at +1 over par. The true winner may well have been The Olympic Club and the course set-up by the U.S.G.A. The weather was cool and a bit foggy – especially on the weekend. It’s a terrific course and somewhat difficult to walk, much less while hitting golfballs…!
The 2011 U.S. Open Golf Championship was played at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD. in June. The run-away winner was Roy McIlroy from Northern Ireland. The tournament was well run as is the norm for the USGA. The layout was hilly and sometimes difficult to traverse but a great test for the field.
I’ve photographed the golf tour for over forty years. This site will show active players from the PGA Tour, the Senior PGA Tour, the LPGA, and amateur tournaments. It will include photographs from the four Majors and PGA and LPGA Tour events when they are covered.
GolfSource Images Archive will show photographs of players, people, golf tournaments and golf courses I’ve photographed over forty years covering the golf tour. It will include PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, Senior Tour, and amateur players. It will also include photographs of many of the courses and people who have contributed to the game we know today.
I’ve photographed Arnold Palmer for many years and have been privileged to get to know him. My photographs show Arnold on and off the golf course and with many who have meant the most to him. It has been a pleasure that I hope will continue for years to come.
